Swedish Kisses

Ingredients:
1 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Teaspoon Almond Extract
2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
36-40 Hershey Kisses, Unwrapped
Powdered Sugar, for rolling

Directions:
In a bowl of a mixer, add the butter, sugar, and almond extract. Beat until fluffy with a paddle attachment. Gradually add the flour until well blended. Press the cookie batter in a large disk and wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, until dough is firm.

Meanwhile, remove the wrapping from the kisses and set aside.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Using a tablespoon, scoop a rough tablespoon of dough and shape it around the kiss. Place dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set but not browned. Let cool for a couple of minutes on cookie sheet then place them on a cooling rack. While the cookies are slightly warm, roll them in a bowl of powdered sugar. Cool completely. If desired, once completely cool, roll cookies again in powdered sugar.

Makes 36-40 cookies. Enjoy!
