My go-to boot this winter has been this pair of over the knee boots and I absolutely love pairing them with skirts and dresses with a little bit of skin showing. They are a great alternative to tights and easily bring together any look to be that much chicer. So, when I came across this skirt while at Banana Republic recently and I knew it would go great with these boots. For the rest of my look, I chose to pair the skirt and boots with black winter layers. Once Spring is here, I will transition this look by switching out my boots for flats and my winter layers for a silk blouse.

The weather this weekend in New York was freezing and made it almost unbearable to go outside, so I spent the majority of my weekend inside. When I did choose to venture outside though, I made sure to wear lots of layers including this fur vest to keep me extra warm. I had been on a search for a while for a good fur vest and was excited when I finally found this one. I have been wearing it non-stop and pairing it with everything from jeans, to skirts, to dresses.

Valentine’s day is this week and because it falls on a Sunday this year, it’s the perfect time to host a Valentine’s themed brunch. The key to this brunch is to bring in lots of pink and red where possible to make the whole brunch feel festive. I started with my favorite waffle recipe and topped them with fresh strawberries and raspberries for the main dish. Then for drinks, I decided to do a twist on the classic mimosa to fit with the theme, so I paired champagne with cranberry juice (blood orange juice would also be great to use). For the decor, I kept things simple and brought in lots of pink with these gorgeous garden roses and finished things off with some cute pink napkins as part of the table setting.

I wore this snowy neutral look a couple weekends ago when I went up to Vermont to go skiing for the weekend and loved the mix of the different neutrals. When it is cold and snowy outside, there’s nothing better than a cozy sweater and scarf to keep you warm. This sweater is from last year, but this one is identical and the scarf I picked up from Nordstrom on sale.

This scent is so amazing and smells just like my favorite candle! This clutch is so chic and can also be worn as a cross body! No gal can have too many lipsticks and this reddish pink shade is perfect for the holiday! I own these pajamas and they are so soft and cozy!

This year has been flying by and I can’t believe it’s already February! Now that we are in the middle of Winter, I find myself wearing lots of black. To break things up though, I have been pairing different black textures like leather and fur together to add extra interest to my look. I always find that when dressing monochramatically, it’s best to mix in different textures to keep the outfit from looking too flat.
