This week I stopped by the Flower Show at Macy’s Herald Square and the whole thing was absolutely spectacular. There were so many stunning displays of flowers and a rainbow of colors. Just walking through it will put you in a great mood and it makes me even more excited for the Spring flowers to come. If you are lucky enough to live in New York, I highly recommend you take the opportunity to check it out. Additionally, the Macy’s Flower Show is being hosted in a couple other cities across the country, you click here to find out more details.
While I enjoy sitting down to a full dinner, occasionally I choose to munch on some small bites instead of a full meal – a little cheese, some sausage, a couple pickles, and my favorite, olives. Recently, I changed it up from my normal whole olives and opted to make an olive tapenade. I followed this simple recipe using
Kalmata olives and extra basil, and the result with crackers was an ideal small bite.

Spring is officially here, and while the weather does not feel like it, my mind is on clothing and accessories for the warm weather to come. I always love transitioning my wardrobe to Spring as it is a great refresh and has me adding lots of color. This year I am all about the light colors and sweet details and these are just a few pieces on the top of my wishlist.

As I mentioned here, I gave up sweets for Lent, and lately I have been having some serious sweet tooth cravings. Everything sweet seems to look 10 times more appealing when you can’t eat it, even things I don’t like that are sweet. So to help with these cravings, I got some inspiration from the Yonanas machine and decided to make myself an “ice cream” sundae made of only frozen bananas, and it could not have been easier. Simply freeze some peeled bananas and then puree in your blender/food processor until smooth and creamy. I paired mine with some salted pistachios for a savory sweet combination, but the possibilities for toppings are really endless. You could even puree the bananas with peanut butter or Nutella to really mix things up. Either way, this is a great way to curb your sweet tooth and so much healthier.
A couple weeks ago, my sister and I were doing some pre-Spring cleaning, when we came across a purse she had bought almost 10 years ago at the Coach Factory store and never used. It still had the tags on the purse and was a style that was no longer popular. Upset that she knew she would never use this purse, she checked the inside before putting it in the pile to donate.
When she checked the inside, she found the receipt for the purse and even after all the years that had passed, the receipt was still intact. Remembering Coach’s return policy that you could return anything at anytime with your receipt, we decided we wanted to see if Coach would uphold this policy. We knew the item was from the factory store and returning it to the regular store would be a merchandise credit and were fine with that.
So in the late evening on a Saturday, my sister and I walked into the Coach store on Fifth Avenue with a purse almost 10 years old to return. We thought the sales associates would think this was a joke and give us a hard time. Instead, the sales associate was more than helpful and gladly processed the return for a merchandise credit. There was no judgment in returning this old purse, only great customer service.
In a time were you can often purchase items almost anywhere, it is great to know that there is a store that still cares about great customer service. I have had my share of both good and bad customer service over the years, but nothing as outstanding as what I experienced here with Coach. Beyond the sales associate's wonderful service, it is nice to know Coach will stand behind their policy at no end to meet the customer’s needs, even it means accepting a return of a purse Coach could clearly never resell. Thank you Coach for the legendary customer service!
