DIY: Beaded Hoop Earrings
My day to day earring routine is pretty simple. I usually just opt to wear my pearl studs and am satisfied with that. From time to time though, I make the extra effort to switch things up and swap out my pearl studs for something special. In the summer, I think hoop earrings are a great option as they pair well with your hair pulled back, my hairstyle of choice in the summer heat. Recently, I dressed up a pair of simple hoops using a few easy steps and some beads. Best of all, it is easy switch out one color or type of bead for another to change the look of the hoops.
What you’ll need:
-Jewelry pliers
-Bead hoop (I used 45 mm and bought mine here)
-Beads
1. Begin by taking one of the bead hoops and unhooking the end from the clasp.
2. Using the jewelry pliers, flatten the end of the bead hoop.
3. Thread the end of the bead hoop with your bead of choice.
4. Using the jewelry pliers again, bend the end of the bead hoop back to its original shape. Repeat steps for as many earrings as you desire.
5. The final product!
